The Catering Philosophy
As the Leoniki Hotels are different from other hotels, the in-house restaurant differs from usual hotel restaurants as well. It includes an indoor section, an open-air terrace by the pool, and a pavillon with a pergola, so it is very similar to the style of a classical Cretan taverna.
Furthermore there is a roofed snack bar by the main swimming pool which in the evening serves as a hotel bar as well. |

Breakfast is available on an open buffet basis from 8:00 till 11:30 a.m.
The "American" Breakfast includes rolls, toast, crescent-croissant, butter, honey, jam, marmelade, cereals, dry fruits, ham, cheeses, omelette, eggs with bacon, scrambled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, hot or cold chocolate, milk, coffee, tea and fruit juice.
But there is also Cretan yoghurt, seasonal fresh fruits, fruit salad, several vegetables, pickled olives and many other dainties. |
Crete's best recommended bakery brings the varied types of fresh bread. They are not available at the corner shop.
Lunch is available in easy ambience from 11:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.
Come as you are from the pool, at the pool bar terrace or in the steak house, for a delicious lunch with a large variety of hot and cold dishes and grills.
Snacks, cake, coffee, ice creams and refreshments are also served while soaking up the warm sun on the pool terrace. |

Dinner is available from several open buffets, from 6:30 till 10:00 p.m.
In accordance with the typically Cretan taverna style, the emphasis is on cooking the traditional Cretan way.
This means to do without deep freezers and microwave ovens but to prepare that food which is found as the freshest at the local market in the morning. |
Our chef completed his job education in several high class restaurants all over the world.
When he returned to Crete, he refined his skills by introducing typically Cretan dishes which are based on use of plenty of vegetable, herbs and traditional spices.
These Cretan specialties today go hand in hand with supreme cooking of international dishes and guarantee the exceptional catering standard at Taverna Leoniki. |

Sweets lovers should reserve some room for the dessert: There is a buffet with different puddings, chocolate mousse, Cretan yoghurt with thyme honey and other sweets, another one with fresh fruit, a third one with ice cream and chocolate streusel ... |

Theme Nights are being arranged on a regular basis. Our chef will pamper you with imaginative seafood compositions, classical Greek barbecue specialties and other delicacies.
Greek music nights, folk dances and floorshows are being arranged three times a week. An overview is shown here.
